I believe the hourly rate for window cleaners now is about £20. 30 hours of work a week and you'll make £600, of which 20 quid will be declared to the Inland Revenue!:secret:  ;) But seriously, it's not bad pay for a physical job that's not too taxing on the brain and it'd be far better than sponging off folk who maybe aren't that well off themselves!

And run a van, buy kit, pay NI, tax, insurance.

End up with about £15k.

Not really. Here's how it goes. Buy a car (you might already have one, many do) get a roof rack fitted to carry your ladder. Buy a bucket on a belt, squeegee & blade, buy some aluminium ladders (some might have a pair already, buy a bucket, buy some washing up liquid, buy some outdoor/waterproof etc clothing/boots (many have such stuff already), declare as little as possible to the Inland Revenue and away you go! :cuppa:

It's our duty as citizens to avoid paying as much tax as we can ;)

On a serious note, there's the classic trope of randy male window cleaners playing hide-the-sausage with lonely housewives, but are there any female window cleaners and are they also as bad...or are they chaste?
