An astonishingly beautiful piece of work from the conceptual artist threebikesmcginty that left me visably moved. There is fascinating interplay between the beautiful walnut wood flooring and the discarded box and the dash of red from the label of the crumpled bottle is a focal point and adds a sense of mistique to the artwork.

Give Brian Sewell my regards when you see him.

Urchhh... Brian Sssssssewell...... Can't sssssstand the man. And as an art/design historian, I have watched far too much of his ramblings than is good for one person.

As for threebikesmcginty's work.....

A micro-comment on the consumer society which reflects the transience of life with the fast food wrappers, and makes a socio-political statement about globalisation and the ethics of waste. Bravo.

That piece is a blatant ripoff of my 1995 work of art entitled "Saturday night/Sunday morning" by just swapping the bottle of White lightning for a pop bottle. Expect a call from lawyers!!!!

I looked at it with a professional recycling eye, and saw three separate skips...

Best thing I ever heard Brian Sewell say, BTW, was when they installed the Diana fountain in whatever park it's in. He was opining that it was a dreadful waste of money that could have been spent on hospitals. The interviewer said "But the people wanted it...." and he replied "But people are idiots!"

Spot on!

I nearly threw my phone on the floor in fright!

That's deeply disturbing.

And horrid.

My neighbours in the 1970s had that print on their living room wall, it always freaked me a little, I don't understand that painting at all.
