That sounds like quite a fun idea: a bike ride where you have to match a speed as accurately as possible without any form of speedometer or stopwatch.

Used to be quite among cycling clubs years ago. It died out in the seventies.

In the drawing office at BAe Hurn many years ago we came in early and swapped all the desk drawers around then hid and pretended to come in late.
Total chaos was erupting so we kept quiet and pretended our drawers weren’t our own either.
