very nice
As others have said a Tommasini Super Prestige. These bikes have a big following and are worth a fair bit of money.
On the plus side:
SPX tubing, there are not many of these about in SPX. Most are SLX (mine is an early version in SL). If you put it up for sale say that it is SPX but also mention the term "SLX" as lots of people use this as a search term.
Classic paint scheme, Tommasini did all kinds of fancy paint jobs in the 80s and 90s, "fish scales" and "horses" are two of my favourites, you have the marble effect, it is classic and appeals to a broader range of buyers
Campagnolo C Record 2nd(?) generation groupset. Top of the range at the time, still highly sought after. Someone has swapped out the Campagnolo delta brakes which is a shame, but at least the bike will stop now (Deltas are beautiful but have a reputation for not stopping you)
Minus points
The lack of the delta brakes, they are worth a couple of hundred on their own these days.
...there are no other minus points, It is a Tommasini
.
the advice on here will be, it it fits and you want a bike keep it as you will be hard pushed to come across something as nice in the future without paying out a chunk of cash
However, if the plan is to sell it remember, In terms of value complete bikes always sell for less than the if you split them. I'd be looking at £800 for the complete bike. Split you are looking at £500 for the frame and forks, plus £500 for the components if sold as a group and more than that if you sell the components individually.
You could advertise in Ireland on boards.ie or adverts.ie but the market is very limited and it could take ages to sell. the last tommasini frame I saw there took over a year to go.
If you are prepared to pack the bike for shipping then place an ad on here or Retrobike and see if it goes. Failing that
ebay will give you a far broader reach, but at a cost.
whatever you chose, the best of luck
