Annoying Click When Pedalling Seated

Mine is temperature related (right hand crank at 12 o'clock) - so I am guessing it has more to do with the time of year the bike was built... once the colder weather arrives I will be click free again! I don't get it when the weather drops below a certain temp!

(I have had this issue on another bike where the headset bearings were fine in winter & spring marginally too tight once the summer months and +30C arrived which caused a 'self centering' option on my steering until we slackened things off)...
When does this happen. 25.9 is the max I have for this year, besides sound doesn't travel as far in colder temps.

Go on, tilt your head!
I removed my pedals, greased em up and refitted I think.

My cleats / shoes are squeaky on my road bike. Seems common with the Spesh BG shoes, highly annoying!!

if all elsr fails then have a look here...

I recently bought a Cannondale SuperSix Evo Ultegra (2015) which I absolutely love. However, it had two annoying noises one of which I seem to have found and fixed (took out the top cap gave it a squirt of GT85), but the second is kind of a click when I'm pedalling.

It only happens when I'm seated and generally seems to be when the right hand crank passes somewhere through the 12-3 o'clock position. Doesn't happen all the time, can't replicate it in the stand, although it's pretty consistent when there's some power going through. I've tried testing for play in the cranks and nothing so I don't "think" it's the bottom bracket. The problem is without being able to replicate it in the stand I can't isolate where the noise is coming from.

Just hoping you guys can throw some random ideas at me to try. The LBS where I bought it from are more than happy to take a look, would just be more convenient as it seems to be just a noise rather than an actual issue to sort it myself. Also quite like learning how to solve these sorts of things.

Cheers in advance!
Could it be just a slight flexing of the large gear under load and the chain join link or part of the chain is catching the derailleur?

I don't think so, but I also don't want to rule anything out at the moment. Its the same in most gears which is why I think it might be so etching else.

I just hate noises!!

You must be careful when using a torque wrench on critical items e.g. Carbon or any exotic materials. All torques stated by the manufacturer are when the nut, bolt washers, are dry. Applying grease, copperslip or any of the anti seize compounds effects the torques dramatically, because of the change in the Coefficient of Friction - there is a calculation using the Cof F of the of the lubricant together with the torque, the actual calculation escapes at the moment, but I'm sure is available .

I get this on both of my cannondales from time to time. I just take out the seat post, clean it with gt85, re grease and put it back in and it's sorted.
Did get an annoying one on my 2013 synapse and it turned out to be the seatpost clamp, some minging grime had gotten under it causing the click.
Took it off cleaned, gave it a little grease and it's all fine.

Hope that helps.

The squeak is your shoes OPuse wax boot polish on and under fasteners and the way to fix your seat post Pikey is to turn the clamp through 180 degrees so that the tightening bolt is opposite to the gap in the frame.

I have the the supersix evo 105 and i had clicking, and it was the headset spacers flexing, half thickness carbon ones, i replaced with 2 15mm alloy ones and clicking went, if that's the case and you replace be careful not to overtighten the top cap as that starts another clicking but more of stress click, you should just be able to turn the spacers when nipped up, don't go cant turn them, the tapered spacer has rubber seal in it and i think that's why you cant tighten too much.
