Koplopers = Race leaders.
I love the Dutch language/accent.
[OT aside: my running club is called "De Koplopers"]

They did, and Gilbert won the race to neck it in one, with Kwiat 2nd and Albasini 3rd...Anyone else disappointed that Eurosport didn't show the podium ?
Did the men get the beer or the shandy that they gave to the women ?
Despite that, I'm delighted that Gilbert won. Here's hoping for something similar for L-B-L.
Not disappointed exactly, because it's an ongoing disrespectful habit of Eurosport for any event where they're not contractually obliged to show the podium presentation (motogp and Alpine ski, for two where I think they do). Switch over to Rai to see it.Anyone else disappointed that Eurosport didn't show the podium ?
Is it more like frontrunners? And achtervolgers is followers-after, or chasers.Koplopers = Race leaders.

I realise that for formal translations, but "race leaders" seemed clunky so I didn't think that was what you were doing.You can't just translate literally from one language into another. It has to sound, and be, correct in the target language.
Thus in Flemish it has to sound like a bad case of catarrh.. It has to sound, ..., correct in the target language.
