The test engineers at work have a nasty habit of saying "vacuum levels". And they never quote units - just "10 to the minus blah".

In my limited experience the word amperage is used to mean the rating of a device or system, as in "the amperage of this circuit is 32A", meaning that the circuit can take up to 32A safely. The actual current in the circuit or device would be current or amps.

I've heard poundage and tonnage in relation to weights.

Wasn't the Civil War kicked off by tonnage and poundage; them's fightin' words !
