Yeah, I realise that now. I will from now on. Although i suspect if i had today, i would have had one angry driver tooting behind me...
I guess it's just a bit of road that worries, me i have been closed passed even when taking primary, once i was out of the tight gap a car sped past me, that one was a bit more worrying. This is the reason i have a cam now. Out of the 3 months, i have never felt the need to moan about it. But this guy was a professional driver.

Don't worry about car drivers tooting behind you. They wait, simple as that. Always. Always, Always take pinch points in strong primary and don't let any moton bully you otherwise.

well until they deliberately attempt to barge you out of the way - to be fair only happened to me once, and I just managed to stop. Was quite shaken

EDIT - I do agree with you all the same

If it helps, try signalling right as you do so - they can't argue with that (well, they can, but you're being very clear about your intentions). Look them in the eye as you signal, if possible. I found this helped me stop being hesitant about taking primary.

^^ wot 'e said. Put it into perspective, which is worse, someone tooting their horn at you, or being put to the ground in a greasy smear by 1.5 tonnes of metal

Fortunately that's never happened to me. And can imagine it was a horrific situation. But the vast majority of sane car drivers wouldn't try such a thing. High revving and beeping, yes.. actually physical harm.. no. All mouth and no trousers as the saying goes.
sane car drivers ! - the trouble is whilst at the wheel only a small percentage are sane, therefor the vast majority of sane car drivers may only represent less than 2% of all car drivers..
Can you give me a source for those numbers.
