Same here, although I'd prefer my 32mm touring tyres with a bit of tread for this one.

I HAD to try it! I really like the Caadx components and lightness, and I was swayed by the price too... At least I know now what I DON'T want.. If I could get upright on the Caadx I'd be laughing.

Yes. My Marin Kentfield has taken me over 4000 miles so far with 1,500 of those in SE Asia with some roughish roads.

I'm about your height and 19" in a hybrid is plenty for me.
But manufacturer sizing - and rider preference - varies, so this bike at 20.5" could work for you.
The bigger frame may mean you will be running with not many inches of visible seatpost which may not be a bad thing because it will give you a more upright riding position.
Interesting spec bike, so well done for thinking about something a bit different.
The V brakes and bits of carbon will probably make it one of the lighter bikes you could get for £500.

I used to own a 1994 Marin Redwood, still to this day the lightest & fastest bike I've ever owned. Marin still have a good reputation.

So collected today (after a 150 mile round trip) and first impressions are:
It's light! Much lighter than the Caadx and as light as the Caad8.
It's strong! The stock image doesn't do it justice. The top tube is much thicker than I expected and square. Reminds me of a mountain bike in stature.
It's comfortable! Even though I've only taken it on a test ride, it feels "right". I'll confirm or deny once I've put some miles on it.
And it looks great. Brilliant colour combo IMO
And a quick shout out to discountcyclesdirect . Really good customer services and the boys in the Bicester shop were as helpful as you like.
All in all an enjoyable experience (so far)

I had to double check then! It's just the angle I took the picture. My twins were attempting to climb over it and me as I was taking the pictures!

The brake bosses are facing forward, and the mudguard eyelet at the bottom is facing backward, so I'm sure all is well.
