Is it just me or are we all saddos as my 18 y/o on says , i am planning to do a ride on the weekend of 22/23 november getting train from bristol to fishguard ferry over to rosslare ,then cycle up to dublin port and catch the ferry back to holyhead then get the train back to bristol all on my lonesome , obviously stopping at a b&b on the way up from rosslare to dublin on the saturday night , he thinks im mad , but its the sort of thing i love doing , planning it all then executing the plan ,

mmmmmmmmmmmm perhaps hes right perhaps i am mad :biggrin::biggrin:

Just as long as you are travelling clockwise it's ok:smile:, the saddos are the ones that try do it anti-clockwise.:biggrin:

...my boy called my Galaxy an 'Old mans bike'... i think that one comment drove me across germany and France this summer....now I'm not so old..or sad.

That's what my son called my Galaxy.... until he tried it. He got off after 5 miles and said sheepishly "can I have one like that for my birthday?"
cue hours on Ebay seeking Galaxy of appropriate vintage, then more hours researching and soucing second hand parts...

Nah, not a saddo at all .. he's just being a teenager. I'd love to do a trip like that, but it will probably be next year now before we can do it: we'll have the kids in tow but ours are still young enough to think of it as an adventure and be as excited as me and Mrs-LC will be. ;)

I do my best to forget BB but the meeja keep trying to tell me there is something significant/important in it. It is for the brain dead :bicycle:
