alternatives to Proofhide

I expect a tin of Proofide would probably last me a long time, inevitably I lose it somewhere before I get anywhere near using it up.

I think the last tin I bought may be still in the shed at the last place I rented.

I have received a reply from Grangers' Laboratory & Quality Manager:
" Grangers G-Wax will condition a leather saddle however as with any new application I recommend trying a small section first. If the saddle has holes in the leather to improve breathability I recommend applying a light coat to minimise the wax getting caught in the holes."
