Too late now and it wouldn't feel right. I think I will get a few faster, shorter rides in now and then taper down before the Challenge Ride. After that 100 miles here we come

Its not too late it wouldn't count as a non stop century but it'd still be 100 miles in a day

In all honesty after the shower that was it. It was a great route and finishing place though so I need to find a little detour along the way to make up the mileage

I didn't find it too bad after 90 miles on a hot July Sunday, I would have done the extra 10, but the sun block was washing off as fast as I could apply it due to sweat. I had also spent 3 hours watching an airshow.

i think under 10 miles short is ok to call a century , although not quite a pure century the extra ten miles arent going to make much difference ,

I will do 100+ miles by the end of next month. I promise myself that.

Impressive speed Dave, I bet the second climb up to Storey Arms was hard work.

When I did my first century ride I realized it was going to be about a half mile short on the cycle computer so went round in a little circle at the end to get the third digit up.

Apart from the chain issue the bike must be going pretty good.

I've lubed the chain so fingers crossed. For what I paid I am amazed by the bike. I won't to upgrade a few things over time but all in all I am becoming a road convert I think
