I've made a blog here, to document the building process of a bike - something I've never done before, but I've done a lot of modifications to my mountain bike including installing new forks, crown race and star nut, so I'm hoping I should be able to do it! However, I'm not 100% sure my parts list is complete, so I was wondering if someone could check the list I've made here (http://www.cyclechat.net/blog/107/entry-321-the-necessary-parts-for-my-build/) and tell me if I've missed anything!

Cheers,
Toby

Outer cables! I always wondered what they were called, and just referred to them as sleeving

Could you explain rim tape? It's not something I've come across with MTB's before, is it something which will come with the wheels but will need replacing?

headset, spacers, and seat post clamp
Headset - important one! And seat post clamp, potentially more important, but arguably not! Will pick up spacers and star nut pretty cheap, but also still important.

Thanks for your input both of you.

Spare air.

This might be of help to you, too,

Very important, air! Not sure if it's worth of my list though! And thanks for the link, it's very helpful
