Action Medical Research run a charity ride from Bristol/ Bath to near London every year, on August bank holiday weekend. I've done it three times and enjoyed it very much on all occassions. Lunch and regular rest stops are provided, and the route is surprisingly quiet despite being on main roads. Distance is 110 miles from Bristol, or 100 miles from Bath.
