I'm a casual cyclist, but I've just bought a Giant Escape 2 (2015) to replace a clapped-out old thing that has gone to the dump. I'm hoping to start cycling more often with some decent kit.
The new bike arrived without pedals and it has taken me a looong time to get the supplier (Cycle Surgery) to deliver any. Finally, they have arrived, however... The Giant site says that I should have had "Giant Sport" pedals on this bike - what has been delivered are MKS MTFT (MKS5080MTFT) pedals with a £9.99 sticker on them.
Since I have no idea of the relative quality of the different sets of pedals, I'm not sure what to do next. I seem to have 3 options:
1. Accept the MKS pedals - they are as good as/ better than the Giant ones, so it makes no difference.
2. Complain (again!) to Cycle Surgery in an effort to get something which matches the quality of what should have been delivered.
3. Just write it off to experience, and never deal with CS again.
What do you think?
