Advice on bike lights for seeing in the dark

+1 i saw a hope 1 this week on another works commuters bike and though nice i get the same light out put from my set up.
I got confused with what some one in my works car park thought was a moped this week with my 2 £8 ish lights from .....

I had two of those lights, and they lasted 6 weeks in total before they just gave up the ghost...

Bad luck , i have had one nearly a year and the other a couple of months and they are still fine , you can say the same for anything you buy i guess there will always be the odd lemon.

Yep, seen other people with them with no problems, one of mine in particular just kept cutting out. For the price I don't feel hard done by at all. They were cheap as chips.

Does anyone on here use the Bikehut "mega bright LED" range from Halfords (see linky)?

They seem to be the top-end of the Halfords LED range, but its 10 lux seems a bit weedy on paper compared to others mentioned in this thread.

Yes it does , to quote the website Q&A..

Yes it does.
It comes with 2 rubber inserts for the handlebar ring (on the picture is the "big" one for 25,4mm).
There is a second, thinner rubber supplied which fit a MTB 31 mm handlebar perfectly.
