My partner rarely has a sweet tooth, so i get her a hand cream one, think it's Dove or something. I've also got her a yankee candle one, again about 20 quid for 24 mini candles

I actually quite like the normal rubbish. :okay:

Years ago I had a mate in Edinburgh, and one night when I was working up that way I stopped at the Holiday Inn next to the zoo and met him in a bar nearby.

When I ordered a pint he looked at me in disgust and said, 'no one drinks Tennant's in Scotland.' 😂

As people are now much less religious I'm surprised Advent calendars still attract interest.
After all what have beer, chocolate and pork scratching got to do with with what is essentially a religious festival?

Nothing. It's not really a religious festival any more. It's mostly about family coming back together and giving gifts. It's nice to have a little present each day through December...

For most, in our predominantly secular society, religion disappeared off of the Xmas radar long ago.
