Weird (culturally) that nothing much is made of St George's Day, but Paddy's day is a worlwide drunkfest. I remember marching on parade in the Scouts for St George's, but that was about it. I did see a FB post quite a few years ago (it smelled a little bit hard-right) that was trying to "bring back" SGD celebrations and for everyone to make more of a thing of it like Paddy's Day, but nothing has changed
Isn't it normally the same day as Shakespeare's (supposed) birthday. And also his death day? The umpty-pumpth of April.
Paddy’s Day is nothing more than a Guinness marketing day.
If a company could successfully market St George, then they would.
So it would just take an English brewery to jump on the wagon and promote it then? Top of my list would be Timothy Taylor's Landlord, or Fuller's London Pride. There are quite a few other big names (Old Speckled Hen, which is Greene King) Wychwood Hobgoblin, and of course Newcastle Brown. But I doubt many of them are popular in pubs anymore which is where it would be flogged most

I guess that would be the obvious choice, and would appeal to many of the target audience. But I wasn't sure if it was "English". All I can find is that it has Canadian heritage
