I remember seeing an interview on TV with an old shepherd, who wanted to dispel the myth that sheep were stupid. I distinctly remember him saying "sheep are far from silly".
I respect his lifetime's experience working with sheep. But I didn't, and still don't, believe him.

Sheep can get stuck upside down, and so need help to turn back the right way up!
I noticed he did not mention that you should not stand near the back as they can do massive farts after they roll over and cover you in......
On another MTB ride I spotted a lamb stuck between a wire fence and a broken down dry stone wall. I dismounted and rescued it. Its grateful mother thanked me by headbutting me!
Sorry but I can't resist, what were you doing to it in the first place? 😂

I was on a summer evening after-work MTB ride with a couple of colleagues and we heard a plaintive bleating coming from the other side of a crumbling dry stone wall. Rather than repairing the wall, the farmer had chucked up a wire-link fence just behind it. A curious lamb had somehow found its way into the gap. Its anxious mother was pacing up and down in the field, unable to help it.
I have rescued lambs in that situation twice. A similar thing happened some time later.

I thought that I would okay talking about Brexit, Global Warming, the war in Ukraine, and the Attack of the Killer Penguins, but apparently not. Sheep don't seem to cope well with bad news!

That’s a great YT channel. Another I like is Rob Words, a real gem. I’m learning German at the moment, just dipping in on a daily basis. I’m finding it quite difficult but immensely interesting.

I've just found out that a loose wire in one switch will cause a light to flicker when the other one switch is used.

It took me a few seconds to realise that that would be true. The two switches share a pair of wires and both switch between them so if either end were loose on one wire then switching to that wire could cause a flicker.

I learned today that bumble bees are bought & released into large commercial greenhouses in order to pollinate the plants! makes sense when you think about it though.
