I tried a pair of these on today, they felt comfortable (good toe room, right width) and I was tempted.

However, at €175 (£140), I thought them a tad pricey for what they were. Doing a few googles, I've found them for a knock-down £80.

Now I seem to recall someone on this forum has these shoes, perhaps others do to. Any problems with that draw string closure? Or any other long term issues? Do you reckon they're worth it?

the mutt's nuts.

Well, maybe.... they're cheap coz they're a discontinued line.

Pros: light, really light. Comfortable. Sleek, good for time trialling, well made, carbon sole is very stiff.

Cons (possible cons): they're narrow and can squeeze the side of the foot just behind the ball. the 3 hole fit is very forward, if you like your cleats adjusted back on the sole look elsewhere. The drawstring can ease off slightly if you hammer for 25km, but mine a a tad too large so I tighten 'em up considerably. Others might not have the same issue.

Conclusion: Adidas shoes a effin gorgeous, I own a pair of Adistar Pro as well and now I want a pair of the Adistar classic retro... mmmm

Cheers for that rusty. The forward cleat position is a concern perhaps since I have the cleat on my right foot slightly behind the ball of my foot (trial and error found it eliminated the tingling I was getting). Sadly, there's obviously no way to find out other than by trying them out.

Yes, me too. Gorgeous aren't they? Sadly I have no justification for buying them - other than complete pose value!

Edit: what cleats are you using? I use look delta.

Hey Yello,

I use Keywin on all my bikes: light, dependable, very low stack height, excellent mechanical concept, cleats wear 1/4 as fast as Look do. And they use a standard 3 hole triangular drilling.
