What do you reckon to this? 9 karat gold with diamonds, albeit tiny diamonds. On sale in my goldsmith/jeweler friend's shop for £10.000 or £8,500 to me. 🧐

Far, far ,too bling! For a purported stylish dresser Accy ,that's too much ,way to garish.
Understated is style, style I've never used yet !

Complete waste of £ 8 K, could buy a decent carbon recumbent trike with that ,proper bli g is that !

I remember being in a meeting with the boss of Orange (as it then was) and he was wearing a flashy gold Rolex with diamonds on the bezel, and to me even that looked pretty naff despite it being a genuine high end watch. Supposedly he'd been given it by the Hong Kong financier who owned us so I guess he felt obliged to wear it.

You could probably bring something that looks virtually the same back from a Turkish holiday for about £30.

Are you sure it’s real?
What sort of £10k watch comes in a cardboard presentation box. Most watches of that price have a mahogany or leather box.

Look closely at the barcode in the pic above. On the right of it you can see a 5, followed by what looks like a 9. The owner paid I think £59.95 for it. It's for sale at £110. He offered it to me for £75. I think I'll give it a miss.;)

I had a look at these two Rolex watches today. Look as in tried them on and had a feel of them. The shop's owner said they will keep their price at least and will increase in value year by year.

I also had a look and feel of this Omega. The shop's owner said that while Omegas hold their value, they don't increase in value as well as Rolex watches do.

Which out of the three would you buy if you were after moving a bit of money around?:secret:🤔 I must say, I do prefer the middle one of the three, mainly due to it's 18 carat gold content.

The sub over a datejust or an Omega any day of the week, though two tone are falling a bit out of fashion at the moment.

They have Submariners here for a fair bit less than the jewelers I visited.

This one here for example is 'only' £9,995, https://www.watchfinder.co.uk/Rolex/Submariner/16613/15058/item/318369 compared to the one I saw today for sale at £10,500.00, although the watch seems to have been sold. However, they have quite a few more with papers and a box. Am I right in thinking the prices vary due to the condition of the watch, when they have papers and a box? 🤔

Love the S&G submariner. My favourite Rolllocks.

The Omega is nice and people will often cite it as the moonwatch. However, it's also the first watch to break on the moon and had to be replaced for the next moonwalk by the astronauts personal Bulova, which was ironically a model which lost the competition to become the NASA issued moonwatch and which didn't break,
