la Ville Eon - a couple of kilometres east of St Brieuc-de-Mauron - visited this morning.

Not the best photos I've ever taken but as this is the only 'E' I've found after weeks of looking, they'll have to do..

I’ve failed to find an ‘I’ despite searching far and wide. I have a vague thought that I’d seen La Ville Irène somewhere but either I imagined it or it was La Ville ès Irène which isn’t the same thing. If I was 50 years younger, I’d consider starting a ‘La Ville ès xxxxxx’ series but as it is this current one has been going on far too long.

So I’m taking a bye for ‘I’ .. but I haven’t completely given up hope of finding one. After a year of looking for a ‘Q’, I found one a few nights ago – it’s a long way from home and fairly inaccessible but, as it exists, I’ll do it.

Here’s a ‘J’ below. It’s not the ‘J’ that I wanted – I cycled to la Ville Jallu yesterday only to find the village sign overgrown with bracken – so here’s la Ville Jourdran, just south of St Brieuc-de-Mauron (visited yesterday lunchtime).

I can’t find a ‘K’ either – and I’m certain one doesn’t exist. ‘K’ doesn’t crop up much in French – but it’s prevalent here as a placename beginning with ‘Ker’ (but that’s Breton not French). So I shall take a bye for ‘K’ too.

My next post will be an ‘L’.

When you get there, perhaps, "Q" will be easier, it seems to crop up in French place names more than it does in English place names. ;)

Is this too far? Near Hillion. It's about 60km north of La Ville Jourdran. La Ville Indeloup

No luck for K though. The best I could do was "La Ville Kiosk DHL Paket Shop" in Hagen south of Dortmund!

Thanks ! @Dogtrousers

Yes - it is really too far. Hillion is about an hour's drive from here - well, that was when I had a fast car and enjoyed driving .. it's probably more like 90 mins now in my trundly old van (and absolutely out of the question in July/August because of its proximity to the coast).

I know Hillion - we used it as a base for walking two sections of the GR34 back in the 1990s.

It's also not far from Yffiniac which is the northern end of the V8 which connects St Brieuc on the north coast with Lorient on the south coast. I've been cycling the central section of the V8 this spring and if I ever work out how to do the northern bit then I would certainly be able to take in la Ville Indeloup at the same time.

It's also very close to the V4 - La Littorale (perhaps also La Tour de la Manche?) which I've looked at occasionally - the section from Dinard to St Brieuc/Yffiniac is doable (if very lumpy).

So - it's a "possible" that I may be able to get to later in the year - and retro-post.

Thanks again

Finished the second word version at last ^_^ 756 days, 16 rides, 972 miles, 36,422 ft.

New Zealand Derby - as it's an area within a city I couldn't find any signs, however there's a community centre and pub, as well as being on the map:
