Arch you are right, you can almost cram all the driving lessons into a few weeks and do enough to pass and then you're off, its only then you start to get the experience. Unfortunately young men do seem the most likely to cause accidents (I'm sure there are statistics for that). I'm 44 and my eldest lad is 15 so the jump to 18 is not big but it doesn't seem that old now.
I went back to the hospital yesterday, they confirmed I had fractured a bone in my hand on top of the rest (for good measure) and I've got to see a specialist about my knee, my collar bone is not healing well, so back in 6 weeks for that but my pot is off my foot which is one bonus !
Hopefully all my clothes, helmet and extra bits will be claimed back via CTC solicitors.
