A set of lights that are constant but flare/pulse every few seconds

I am after a set of lights that are on constant steady light but every three to four seconds emit a flare like flash while remaining constant. Must be bright enough to be seen.

What is the function called please and some light recommendations for about £40ish a light.

I have limited room so don't want one light on constant and one flashing, I would like it combined.

I think mine does that when it's in one particular mode. It's a Lezyne MicroDrive rear light. There's a front light as well and you can buy them together as a set, but I only have experience of the back one...

I think you are right when you call it pulsing. I've bought a Cateye Volt which seems to do that, and each light is about £35 I think?

I'm a big fan of pulsing/flaring lights. When driving in the dark, it's really easy to spot a cyclist up ahead in the distance. Mind you, some rear lights are so bright that they can be a real pain in the bum to ride behind for any length of time if they are angled into your line of sight. Some of them have given me "retina burn" (or whatever it's called), when the image stays with you after the light source has briefly disappeared

I've a Cateye Volt 300 which has a pulse setting. Good solid rechargeable light with stable bracket which gives a decent beam pattern.
