The new range of TCP cream is rather good, it's far less aggressive or as smelly as it once was, but still has the healing power it originally had. I've used (still do when needed) on my sensitive areas without problems.

I often sit on myself (if you get the gist) after just standing on the pedals. It really hurts and I struggle to enjoy the rest of the ride.
I have never needed to use cream though.
