Great bikes is it a mk 1 fork ?

Not sure. I need to check serial number on bottom bracket today.
Where can I find info for year of manufacture.

But its got large flange hubs !

From what I’ve seen some did have large flange hubs.

As long as it's a Mark 2 or 3 version it will be fine and i would ride a mark one , all American over reaction if you ask me

I have checked over forks and no visible cracking, pin secure. Look good to me.

Yes. Alloy fork.

(pedant mode on) All metal forks are an Alloy, 531 is an Iron Alloy as is the Titanium used for some. (pedant mode off)

Yamaha replacement forks were steel, so a magnet would denote a Mark I or not. I went through this years ago, as The Secret of Elwood Lane is a Mark II fork. With a stuck seat post, otherwise great condition.
