I'm a persistent Defender waiver (to the extent I sometimes waive when i'm not in the Defender).

My favourite "driver to driver" wave is the one which NSU Ro80 drivers used to greet each other with. They would hold a number of digits out of the window to inform the driver coming the other way how many replacement engines they'd had.
