I've given up because there's too many a-holes driving on the roads and getting too close whilst riding. The only time I ride is when I go to Scotland once a year.
I have tried looking for easy rides that are traffic free but there isn't anything.

Understand what you mean. Took a ride to Diss earlier on in the year along the Norwich - Mulbarton road.
Used to be a nice reasonably quite meander of a ride. Now with the massive increase in dormitory village extensions and industrial units built in the middle of nowhere, it's almost a rat run with cars, delivery vans & HGVs rushing here and there, always in a hurry.
