Are you doing pre-flight checks perhaps, just checking the brakes (as they're 1/2 way out?) Or de-briefing the flight having just landed? K21s are ok, but I could never get them to spin, have a flight in a Puchajz to see what I mean.

We've got 2 K21s and 2 Pucs (the Discus is U/S after some numpty put it down on its belly), and you're right, we only use the Pucs for spin training as its virtually impossible to get the K21s to do anything interesting.

I've been vindicated. I took it to Maplin and they checked it out and confirmed that it was duff. I resisted the temptation to upgrade and got a replacement which is recharging as I write.

Speaking of environmentalism and helicopters, I paid a visit to Beacon Energy not far from here. It's a self-sustained working farm using renewable energy and energy storage. Fascinating place, but one thing really got to me - the owner has a great big feck-off helicopter! Flies in the face of everything he was advocating. I had to have a dig at him about it. Perhaps he feels justfied by 'offsetting' the carbon he doesn't emit???

Cool, my brother teaches at Pocklington School, so after spending ten years watching the aircraft from the playing fields I talked him into having a go and bought him an experience flight.

I like the idea of Gliderchat, as opposed to Smutchat that this place normally descends into (even Waffly was going on about cleaning blokes helmets the other day ).

Talking of smut, Patrick, have you mastered your chopper yet?
