Uploaded my rides from endomondo to strava and amazed to find 4 queen of the mountains and 4 course records (I think that is what CR stands for) Pleased as Punch, could get addictive me thinks.
Yep, definitely gets very addictive, especially for those of us blessed (or cursed) with a slightly competitive nature!

Ha, ha......you are as bad as me Shadowfax. I was sitting here cursing earlier at another local woman who was riding with her husband today and she must have tucked in behind him and got pulled along to some great times as her average was way above what she normally does on her own. Another lady over in a village nearby rides a tandem with her husband and logs her times on Strava too so doesn't seem like a level playing field.

It doesn't bother me honest

just checked on strava and i have 2 favourite segments that i get competitive over and i am at 10th on a 0.9 mile long sprint that is dead flat andi have slipped to 8th on a pretty steep one  that i am aiming for king of the mountain when i get a road bike! unfortunately steeper second segment goes through a T junction turning from the major road onto the minor over one live lane of traffic so any records must be done with very bright lights after hours!
Cheers Ed

Hahaha girls, Strava
I got a QOM on a hill that I walked some
The secret is to ride obscure routes that have little competition.
Indeed, seems most of the routes i take have been hammered by the local chain gangs !Although this particular KOM i think is a bit dodgy ...
27 mph average up this ?

Check the avg speed of the ride and if you think its too high report it.
Flagged , checked his other rides and the average up the KOM is about 2.5 times his average ride speed, maybe bad gps as its a iphone or hes used a car as his max was 34 mph at 1 point on the segment !.
I know i dont have much chance of getting a KOM but its a bit dirty pool old boy for those who can .

I have done it a few times, some I know have been motorised, I have very little chance on almost any segment around here, but as you say its unfair on others. I have even flagged my own when I was using the N95 and importing from endomondo, as some had me doing 28+mph on a segment I couldn't do that speed now on a good day.

Even now this segment show my best speed as being back in Sep 2012 in my 3rd month of cycling.

I know I ride it better now, but only rarely get close to it.

It actually shows my 2nd best as being my best, the one I refer to was @ 17.9mph closet this year was 15.9mph and my best last June was 16.6mph and they are wind assisted.

Whats more some of the people with similar times ride £3,000 bikes my basic bike was £300 in 2008, though its had quite a bit modified, (well all but frame, forks, brake callipers and chainset).
