£140 victim surcharge too.. He should be made to pay every hour of earnings for every officer, investigator and judge who had to spend their time gathering and considering evidence because he wouldn't tell the truth. It's truly incomprehensible that if you drive dangerously, kill a member of the public, don't stop at the scene, damage someone else's property, concoct lies to your employer and try and avoid justice by feeding bare faced lies to the police, that you get less than a year inside and fined a days earnings.
