A 25 or a 28 will not only be wider but higher than a 23 so make sure there is enough distance between tyre and brake caliper as some have minimum clearance here as I discovered.

I went for 24's in Specialized S-Works Turbo form. A happy medium.

How wide any of these tyres are in the real world would be worth knowing. A number of people on either side would be surprised I think.

The 25c fit, although don't think i could go any bigger, when i started to fit the first one i was thinking did i under estimate the size of the tyres. But no issues in the end

Only done one short ride on the worst possible roads i could find and in strong winds so its hard to tell if there is an improvement or whether its just placebo effect but they did seem to feel better the the 23c they replaced, but this weekend i've got a 115miles to do on my usual stomping ground so i can do a proper assessment :-) but so far i'm happy with them.

cheers

You should choose a tyre width that complements the width of your rim! Reduced rolling resistance is only an advantage if it doesn't come with a drag increase greater than the reduction in rolling resistance.

I have never really felt a difference between them and I've used quite a few types on various bikes.
Did manage to squeeze some 28's onto my road bike for a while but have now gone back to 23's.
