Good day for American pseudo-vikings today in P-N
Sheffield (Norwegian mum) wins the stage
Jorgenson (Danish extraction, can't remember exactly how, his mum?) 2nd on stage and wins the GC

Think he's happy to get some good training km into his legs, and while he's got seconds on the chasing group..... Think he's getting caught very soon though
Turns out he had an agreement with Sheffield to work after the sprint toward the final climb, knowing he had no chance of staying with him when the road went back up. And being Mads he kept his word and pretty much buried himself for Magnus.

Some good British performances in Trofeo Binda.
Cat Ferguson third, Pfeiffer Georgi 5th.
Elisa Balsamo won it (again).
Think there are some Lotte Kopecky fans that won't be happy about how Pfeiffer Georgi made space in the sprint there, not exactly straight line stuff

Ganna 😍
Chapeau Ayuso in Tirreno and Jorgensen in Paris Nice well deserved wins, great second place on GC for Pippo and great week for Ineos overall..
GC For Ganna and Arensman, stage for Sheffield wow ! Tarling and Foss have looked solid...Tarling really showing he's more than just a TT specialist...looking more positive as a team anyway.
Will it work in the grand tours ? Who cares with plenty of the younger riders being aggressive and having fun...give us more !
Hurry back Egan 😁

Indeed, you have to remember that Cat Ferguson came 3rd and is still only 18 (just)

I wonder if no one likes Demi Vollering in the peloton ?!? seems like she can't win in a breakaway unless she goes solo.

Pfeiffer Georgi relegated from 5th to 16th

Good to see that Milan-Turin tomorrow has gone back to the twice up the Supergra finish.
Nokere Koerse has a new finish, with a slower approach to a longer drag sprint. It’s been a bit of a crash fest in recent years.

Del Toro for Milan Turin, decent line up with
A Yates Hirschi Carapaz starting this race.

Over in Belgium Nokere should be a win for Jasper in his training for Saturday...like to see De Lie challenge him today.

Sometimes won by a sprinter, sometimes by a rouleur, sometimes a climber/GC rider. Do they change the course or just different tactics?
Not sure why Tejada is 3rd favourite but Hirschi was winning this sort of race a while ago and Ben Tullet is going well. More in hope than expectation?

Tejada for his Paris Nice I'm guessing...think he ended up finishing in 7/8th place in the final GC ? Had a decent race overall though.
Runs off to check odds....7/1 mmm

Complete course changes. Browsing the profiles from years gone by some are pancake flat, some are lumpy-rolling, some are like this year, decidedly spikey at the end
