Yeah, I suppose not. I think I enjoyed it for two reasons:
1) no mega-irritating commentator on the feed [not sure what karma I have used up to achieve this!]. Just the slightly moany scottish pundit (Brian Smith?) and someone I didn't recognise.
2) I just enjoyed the general vibe! It's the first "proper" race of the year. No tedious sand-dunes. And I've actually ridden up the Mur now!!!

Also I felt it could have kicked off at a number of points ... but things just conspired against it. When the 3 ADC riders were driving their group, I think just one more guy from another team helping would have meant they stayed away, and a large enough group that there would be still much dramatic uncertainty in the final kms.

Also2 - it was fun while young Master Tarling looked like he might play a decisive part

Good race to watch. I thought Scaroni was the strongest up the climbs but Ayuso was too canny and too quick.

He's having a good season so far.

After the attacks in the last 15 k ish, thought he might get done in the sprint....no chance looked the strongest at the finish by a fair bit.
Fingers crossed his head doesn't blow off this season 🤣
