I thought Yates had a chance of holding off Almeida on an uphill TT but the pundits (and Yates) seemed to think otherwise.

I thought 31 seconds on a time trial of just under 16km was a lot to ask for Almeida but was reasonably confidant he would win the stage.

Can't believe it. She must be gutted. On form, I can't see anyone beating her. Sat on a sofa nursing that sort of damage, and she doesn't have a chance.

Not had the best run in life, has Katie. Sport can be so cruel at times.

Lots of interesting national champs but Ethan Hayter has won the UK mens road race

I watch a few of the national championship races, had to feel sorry for Pablo Garcia in the group behind Aranburu the eventual winner, he was well clear in the amateur race until he was taken out by another rider with around 3km to go.
