Not sure at present but don't go silly cheap. 3 of my Smarts (the ones with the 1/2w rated LEDs) have now been going since 2009 with no problems - not the cheapest at the time.

(The 4th has been replaced with the newer higher power one after it ended up flashing for 2 days at the bottom of the canal!)

Whatever you get use a smear of silicone grease on the joins every battery change.

A Minging Manc...
Same here, 2 rear lights, one flashing and one steady. If I ran only one rear light it would be flashing. I run 2 rears so if one fails at least I still have one working but strangely I am happy to run only one front light. I guess this is because if the front light stopped working I would notice while if the rear packs in I could ride miles without realising.

Talking of 2 rear lights.

I have the 2 5led lights on my bike arranged so it looks like a T shape.
Last night another cyclist who stopped at the lights beside me asked where I got the T shaped light from.
He had never seen one before. He had a Doh! moment when I pointed out to him that it was in fact 2 lights.

Why just have a T when you could have an X or even a P or a slinkly S. You could even make a small word as long as it wasn't the C word.

Personally imho I think all flashing bike lights should be banned. Bike lights are way more powerful than they ever used to be and having them on flashing is a menace. Pretty much all of them are poorly directed so they dazzle other approaching road users and peds.

It's also a problem on FNRttC's.
It doesn't take a little bit of common sense to dip the lights a little.

Rather be a selfish******rs than a rear ended cyclist lol ! I ride a recumbent bike 2 rear lights and as I pulled into a petrol station { needed more jellybabies} a motorist says to me I followed you for half a mile or so and that contraption is an accident waiting to happen to add insult I think them blinky lights on back are a joke, Stick to cyclepaths you moron as you are a menace on the road! Just laughed it off as he was a tw*t

I'm close to agreeing.

Although I run 1 flash 1 steady at the back I have reservations about flashing lights. I don't flash at the front, and if for any reason I only have 1 at the back then steady there as well.

A look at German government documents on this is worthwhile.
