What sort of bike are you looking at for retirement?
i would keep that if you can afford it - i couldn't let something like that go to be honest
Must admit I agree @uphillstruggler maybe swap to some flat bars
what are these flat bars you speak of? id keep it exactly as is.
So would I but the owner might find them easier to use
@uphillstruggler @biggs682 - I currently have a Trek Mountain bike, which I have been using for general, local runs, but I'm currently looking at getting a Specialized Diverge A1 as I want a bike more suited for road than my Trek but one that can also handle canal towpaths etc.
By the way, the last time that I rode the Ephgrave, I took the same short local road route that I had cycled on my Trek, and without trying, cut over ten minutes off my normal time!
I had thought of keeping the Ephgrave, but I'd like a modern bike, so am looking to finance the purchase of a new bike by selling the Ephgrave.
Re bars; I much prefer drop bars over flat bars.

I have already seen from this post that there is quite a bit of interest in my bike.....why don't you gauge interest here first.
The buyer is arranging shipment, that was a condition of the sale that I made.Australia?? You don't mess around do you?
What does it cost to post a bike to oz?
