How did you come by these lovely machines, and in such good conditions?

My dad did them all up , he loves going to the cycle jumbles and has always loved his bikes along with his model engineering. He used to cycle but is in his 70s now. They have been been done up to a high standed and been in the spare bedroom for years.

He's kept them in super condition. Very interesting brake lever on this one as well as the curly forks

They're absolutely beautiful. I've often contemplated putting a pair of Bates diadrant forks on the front of a curly Hetchins frame to make the most vibrant frame possible at the time ^_^ A full 50 years before Pinarello and Specialized discovered damping inserts into plastic forks and stays!
