Is there enough space between derailer and sprocket to get a 32 on there? Need options!!! Easier options lol

It's all gone wrong! the chain dropped to the inside and jammed up, broke the rear mech too, So bought a new 105 5701 rear mech and new chain, put the Ultegra rear cassette back and fitted a new gear cable inner and it just won't work at all. Skipping, jumping, sounding like a bag of spanners etc.

Refitted the 27 rear cassette combo and it works a treat.

I can only assume that my set up now won't run with the 30 tooth rear.

I know it was OK before with a 28t, so I may go back to that, or decide to stick with the 28t and puff a lot uphill.

The OD of a 30 is not that much bigger than a 28, so it might work. You will probably need to wind the b screw out a bit.

Did you get a 5701 SS rear mech? I run the GS version on a wide 11-32 10 speed cassette no problems. Even the 3500 Sora GS mech can handle the wide range.
