10ft Pool pump question

Hi all. We treated ourselves to a 10ft paddling pool from Lidl. It comes with filter pump. Anyone know how long and how frequently we need to turn the pump on? It's 3600L capacity and the pump moves 1200L/hour. But it doesn't state when/how long you switch it on for.

Also, we have chlorine tablets, so they go in the filter or just drop them in the pool?

I don't know the definitive answer, but i use the chlorine tablets in our inflatable pools. One tablet lasts a week in this floating contraption:

There might be a receptical in the pump and hoses for the tablets, but if i remember correctly the plastic has to be the correct type or it will be 'eaten', so all good if it's designed that way, but maybe not bodge it!


The cat drinks the chlorinated water with no issues, but we found a floating dead mouse last week!

Basically you use the pump on constantly. Then clean or replace the filter (hot wash the filter).
