That will certainly get rid of that " Workaday Frown", and unless you used the whole bottle it would indeed clean a big big carpet for less than half a Crown.

We had a carpet like that in the early 70’s. . I could fix my bikes on it and the spilt oil didn’t show. Neither did the humbrol enamel from my Airfix kits

But different from the grey carpet I’m looking at now lol.
