I'll have saved myself about 3500 car miles by cycle commuting at the end of the year. With petrol costing about 13.5p per mile (I know there are other costs - but I have to pay most of those anyway even when i do less miles) that should mean I have a fund of £472 to invest in the bike around Xmas time.
