I am not that interesting, I'm only a student, not much life experience. I don't leave my room much.
As a student
be interesting. It's one of the few times you get the chance to do something different. So, as a student at Coleraine in Northern Ireland I:
1. Was arrested for being upside down naked tied to a surfboard on the top of a stolen van careering down Portstewart promenade. That got me a
big telling off from the university.
2. Got to perform backing vocals on a no. 1 single in N.I. as I was the only one there who wasn't from 'Norn Irn' and sounded different.
3. Had someone point a shotgun at me whilst I was asking him politely about his farm in the back end of Co. Antrim as part of a field trip.
4. Sold a fellow student for 3,000 camels (in cash equivalent) whilst on a field trip to Morocco because she had blonde hair and green eyes - neither she or I thought the buyer was serious until he arrived with the money.
5. Dated a now
very senior N.I. politician.
6. Also dated an Eurovision song contest winner. A female one.
7. Got arrested in Belfast for protesting against the introduction of student loans - wasn't me throwing a brick but still ... - and was sprayed purple by the police water cannon.
8. Had to return home to England for Christmas still looking like a Ribena-berry.
9. Wrote my Dissertation in 24 hours.
10. Somehow got a degree. A good one at that.
And that's just a bit of what I did. Go be a student ...
