0208 phone numbers scams... anyone else affected?

So how do fraudsters do it? Offer cash to BT engineers to set up the numbers? Or using their IT skillz?

I do get roughly one call a week from numbers I don't recognise so I ignore them. Stopped taking them when I got fed up with that irritating woman's voice saying "Hello....!"

Nothing to do with BT, the calls are made by SIP also known as VoIP, you can set the equipment to send out whatever CLI you want, it all depends if you want return calls or not. But that can also be easy, I can provide you with numbers in about 70 countries in the world which I can route to you.
