So-called ‘rat rods’ seem to be a VW thing. I joined a couple of VW forums because we have an old Lupo and it’s handy to be able to get advice from people who’ve solved the same problems. They seem to be populated by people who build these things.

I once knew the son of a prominent car dealer and he said they were selling a Morris Minor with that description. They did not tell people that the main mileage was done by her madcap grandson 😳
