Ok so after my return to cycling about 3 weeks ago after a 17 year gap I'm racking up the miles on my shiny hybrid...i did 37 miles yesterday over 3 hours and now I'm thinking of a sportive!...good or bad idea?...any coming up that would be suitable?..im in Manchester but can travel.

I fancy doing a non competitive sportive but are they appropriate for a hardtail MTB? I'm just looking for something novice friendly, Im already pyhsically fit as I'm a runner already...I'm in Manchester but willing to travel a bit if needs be.
