I have just invested in a dynamo hub and an e-werk charger. I tried it out on few rides and have been inconsistent in recharging an Anker battery. What settings do folk on here us for battery charging and which batteries are the best ones to use?
Thanks for any help
Got my new front wheel from spa cycles which has a PD8-X dynamo hub.
Not sure if it doesn't fit well or if I don't need to use the adaptor?
It seems without the adaptor, the hub fits fine...but once you add the adaptor, it adds a few mm's and doesn't sit snugly in the fork!
Any comments would...
Hi I'm looking at switching to dynamo powered lights, can any Busch & Müller light owners tell me if they come with the wiring needed or do I need to buy that as extra?
Also is 50 lux sufficient for unlit county roads at a modest pace?
These are the lights I'm considering;
B&M IQ2 Eyc (50 lux)...
My current front light on my Gazelle just isnt bright enough for my village and also it has no stand light, looking to get a different one but unsure what to go for?
Ive seen a Busch & Muller Lumotec IQ Avy T Senso+ which seems to do everything i need it to do but is there any others i should...
I've got a Trek mountain bike which I've converted to a hybridish sort of bike (slick tyres, rack) and I'm now looking to make it winter-proof. Neither wheel is exactly in the first flush of youth, so I figure I might as well replace the wheels too while I'm about it. I've put the package below...
I'm looking to add a front hub dynamo setup to my commuter road bike because I like the idea of never having to faff with batteries or unclipping lights again.
What do I need to consider in terms of sizing/practicality with the 700c road wheels? I wasn't able to locate any guides on which...
Does anyone have any experience of these? I've found a couple that seem to attach a roller to a little generator on that tracks either they rim or the tyre. It wouldnt be for any tanscontinental stuff but I'm thinking it might be useful for a few weeks round wales or something - and certainly...
I've decided to go for it before autumn kicks in properly. Can't afford the SON but hey hum.
I've read a couple of negative reviews about the front light not being overly robust in cold weather, last one just now on Evans site, that could be an issue as this'll still be my year round and for...
hi
I have just got hold of a old carbonite 103 with a built in lights and dynamo but the lights don't seem to work.
the problem is that it only has one wire going to the light does this mean it uses the bike frame as an earth?
I am in the process of deciding on what lighting to fit to my recumbent trike. I already have the Son Dynamo on order, and would ideally like to fit numerous LED lights (2 front, 3/4 rear). I would also like to have a spare power output for charging mobile/gps or other USB device.
Would a...
My first proper dark ride with this dynamo light last night, rain and fog on my ride thrown of for good measure and it is superb.
I treated myself to this from Rose bikes (~£35) to upgrade my very good B&M IQ fly 30 on my winter workhorse bike and it is money very well spent.
I was.riding on...
During my commute to work this morning my dynamo lamps stopped working. The front is a B& M Lumotec Eyc T, driven by a Shimano Alfine hub. The bike is only a couple of months old and the lights were fitted as standard, with wiring routed inside the frame. It was bought online from Germany so...
A couple of years ago I had to replace my worn-out dynamo.
After researching the market I purchased a very nice Nordlicht dynamo with a grippy rubber roller, and very well it worked too on the few occasions when I used it.
Now however the rubber roller is perishing/cracking. So I enquired...
