Nothing spectacular, other than the really satisfying sight of ...anything and everything after a dull winter.
Sun's shining, out for an hour meandering, bugs scuttling across the road, an occasional butterfly, a green woodpecker, two red kite, etc etc...just lovely to see something, and anything.

had a raccoon visit just after midnight
Nearly trod on one of those in the Windrivers year before last. Never seen anything wriggle so much, it went into deep panic mode.

over here, we call them Gardner Snakes
when I was a kid, walking to school w/ friends, I found a very small one & carried it to school in a sneaker. it was gym day & had to bring sneakers. put the sneaker in my desk. a classmate ratted me out & told the Teacher. she made me let it go. yeesh, can't a kid have ANY fun?

Not 100% sure, but I reckon I saw a Raven at the weekend, either that or it was a crow on steroids
I heard a raven the other day (the noise is quite distinctive) near my house for the first time.

Yesterday I was woken early (around 0600) by a tapping sound. I thought it would have been the tits exploring one of my nest boxes, but it actually was a nuthatch. Not had them nesting in my boxes before.

Another bee fly here. This one was found on my mower grass box when I’d just cut near some shrubs. After admiring it I popped it back into the undergrowth.
