Only female of the litter & the one that's struggling a bit with lapping, think she was after a feed from mum just outside the cage.

8 weeks old today & over the next week they were going off to their new homes, unfortunately we've just had back word on 2 of them, they were going together but there's been a split in the relationship & the couple who were due to have them are no longer together.

Ah, that's fabulous! :becool:

What a wonderful pair of playful and well-socialized kittens. :okay: You should be proud of yourself, your daughter and the grandkids @Phaeton - a job well done. :notworthy:

Far from a fan of cats but can't help but have my wizzened, grey heart warmed slightly by the OP.

A rural outbuilding's probably the best place for (at least one of) them too - plenty of legit things to kill and eat that aren't songbirds or other declining wildlife!

They even wait to steal the food off your plate :laugh:

My two take serious liberties... Mind, they're 13 and 10 respectively, so they're not going to change.

SO, the story moves on, all the kittens are in their new homes & doing well, Puss the mother has settled down at the yard is usually waiting for me in the morning to be fed, unless I'm late & she goes to find a warm breakfast, although she does try to take on things that are a little bigger than you would expect.

However the amount of food she was eating was phenomenal it however then became apparent she may no longer be alone

That is not her in the image, we have seen at least 6 different cats around, not sure if it's because we leave food out for her, or the grapevine has told them about the soft touches.

We've been in contact with a group that catches ferals & borrowed a cage, within 2 hours of setting it up we have these 2.

Problem is now we have nowhere for them to go, I'm going to ring Cats Protection tomorrow but up until now they have not been very helpful.

Whereabouts are you (roughly) @Phaeton ?

If you're in Lancashire, I can put you in touch with one if not more independent rescues via a cat show friend based near Preston.
