RG58 is black (as are 99%) of coax you can use....
all sorts of thickness,
most RG58 is thinner then the normal brown TV coax.

HF end fed, 1090 MHZ ADSB, HF youloop, 70cm turnstile, HF active one as well I think, 2m/70cm vertical collinear, think that all

Peace has descended, out with granny.....
Weekend wind 'broke' two of my hyacinths, now perfuming downstairs in a vase..

Sunny, so some weedkiller applied.
Local cat started lying in one of the lavender tubs, it has a surprise next time it visits:ohmy:
Numbers meant little to me back then. I'd take a piece of the old one with me, if I were replacing anything when possible. Whatever type of wire or cable was being bought.

Only the six. You made it sound as though you'd more up there.

Still peaceful, or has the weather forced an early return.
Natural will always beat summat from a can or bottle, and they can look better as well.

Sunny! This could be the start of that heatwave they've promised. Maybe the heatwave itself.
Mouse trap set and ready?

keep threatening to floor part of the loft..

Top temp of the year today..16.7c at 14.14.
still an official wet day, looks threatening too.

Don't just threaten it, words will be lost on it. Just do it, actions speak louder and all that.
Don't know how high it got, easily into double figures though. Wet day here.
More precise a wet late evening.

Get a chance to snooze this morning, cough gone?

Good morning :hello:
another AI inspired eulogy...

Ah, Fridays, the enchanting gateway to the weekend! 🌟

In their resplendent arrival, they cast away the mundane cloak of the workweek, revealing a shimmering tapestry of anticipation. The air hums with the promise of leisure, and the sun, too, seems to linger a little longer, as if reluctant to bid farewell to the week.

Fridays, oh how you weave your magic! You’re the day when deadlines soften, and emails lose their urgency. The office corridors echo with whispered plans of escapades—be it a tranquil evening at home, a lively gathering with friends, or a clandestine rendezvous with a captivating novel.

And what of the aroma that dances through the air? It’s the scent of freedom, of fleeting responsibilities, and the sweet promise of two days unshackled. Cafés brim with laughter, and the streets pulse with the rhythm of footsteps eager to explore.

Fridays, you’re the golden hour of the week—a bridge between duty and delight. Your name is synonymous with joy, with the clinking of glasses, and the soft rustle of pages turning. You’re the canvas upon which dreams are painted, and the vessel that carries us toward our heart’s desires.

So here’s to you, dear Friday, the harbinger of weekends, the custodian of bliss. May your sunsets be vivid, your laughter contagious, and your moments cherished. 🌅🎉

Nope, still spluttering and wheezing, barking mad..
I had twice the sleep of the previous night..

19 mins into Friday and it's officially a wet day 0.8 mm, oh well..

AGM later and my new callsign thingy, my callsign gouged somehow into a bar of solid aluminium to pick up(and pay for).

I was on Eb** earlier to get a photo of something from CB past and I saw the Realistic scanner unit I once had, I had a closer look and thought if any good I'll put a bid in just for the nostalgia, owner said still working okay..

until I saw how minging it was, jeez, five mins would have tarted it up a bit..
flip me I'd embarrassed if I put something like that up for sale..
tatty?
right off to try get some kip.....

Never nice.
Here's to a similar time improvement in yer sleep this morning.

Wet here, as well as an odd colour sky. Doesn't bode well....

CNC machined or just engraved. Or haven't they told you yet in case you don't want to part ways with yer money.
Why do you need a piece with your callsign "gouged into it". You know your callsign, don't you!

Tart it up and he could ask more for it. Then there's the buyer expectation not matching up to the tarted up look.
Clean n'shiny, it must be perfect. Whatever the seller says.

Enjoy what kip you do get.
Try some Deep Heat on the soles of yer feet, for the cough.

It better improve as a clandestine cross border raid is in advanced status.
(ssh, loose lips sink ships)

I've seen the video of how the aluminium is worked / milled (?)
I'll get it tonight and depart with some bawbees for it...

Going by the state of it, it must reek...
I have a handheld Uniden one which I can use...
There will be a power supply wall wart somewhere but I've enough rechargeable somewhere to..

Forgot, I have a 868Mhz antenna taped to the window frame.....
feeding a SDR dongle...not in the loft though..

No real improvement up there then.
You're planning a seabourne raid!
Panning on going far?

And it'll be all nice and shiny when collected, for the first week or so.

That bad. I've seen stuff that appear to have been found in long abandoned places and I've wondered why they're selling.
You'll not be bidding on it then.

Taped to yer window and yer forgot, I'll believe you.

I keep the blinds shut and over 3/4 down..
all it picks up are switches, weather stations, security stuff, hot tub temp regulator, remotes and very odd tyre pressure valves that pass, 433mhz has more interesting stuff.

Sorta lets you off that first part.
The neighbours will be wondering what yer up to before long if they see that.
You've a hot tub!

Hot tub? not me, a few around here, why? I can't fathom out why people in small houses like them..
plus, jeez, how much to heat now..
You can't really see if from outside....

Better fly, survey in..

Just the details from those hot tubs that are there?
No bathroom inside?
They eat electric. Small wind turbine in yet garden to power it.
So they don't know you know...

Survey, this time o'night?

AGM go okay. Proud owner of new, brigh and shiny, aluminium callsign?

Have you got anything to hand that no-one else has given a speech on yet. Always easier to be the first one to mention a subject.
You'll have spent the evening polishing it, or is it brushed aluminium?

1mm in 40 minutes ain't that heavy! Hardly monsoon level.

Good morning :hello:
Just back from almost re-enacting the Battle of Stirling Bridge..
Mrs M said brown rolls, I said burnt rolls,
a compromise was reached...we got both.
Bloodshed (mine) was avoided:ohmy:
